The film is a sequel to K.G.F: Chapter 1, which was released in 2018 and in this
film, Yash plays the first film and
Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt in the
lead role. Principal photography started in March 2019 and is expected to be released in July 2020 and will be dubbed in Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu

Filming for KGF: Chapter 2 debuted in
March 2019, with a small part of the
film being shot during KGF: Chapter 1
After the initial period of filming near Bangalore, Filming began in August
2019 in the Cyanide Hills at Cooler
Gold Fields.
