This is the sequel to the 2014 film Mardani and in which Rani Mukherjee rejects his role as Inspector Shivani Rai.This story follows Shivani who stands up against the 21-year-old villain (played by giant Jethwa). Aditya Chopra announced on 2 December 2018, and the principal photography of the film began on March 27, 2019. Released in India on December 13, 2019 in terms of movie theater.

Central actress Rani McGee first appeared on April 30, 2019. They were seen in a police officer's uniform. On September 30, 2019, Yash Raj Films released an official teaser of thirty-eight seconds to announce the film's release date.
